From September 30th to the end of this year, I will be taking time away from publishing as I have been diagnosed with bowel cancer. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

I am thankful that my Crohn’s Disease diagnosis assisted in this being caught early, however this same diagnosis also creates a series of complications that makes my recovery a little more complex than usual.

Because of this complexity, I will be commencing chemo-radiotherapy immediately as well as having surgery. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣Recuperation will take months so I will be removing my back list from sale for two purposes. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

1, so I don’t stress over sales slumps, advertising, and marketing while I recover and,

⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣2, so I can revamp my current titles and upcoming releases, inside and out, during this forced hiatus. This has been something I’ve wanted to do over the past year and I’m determined to see this opportunity as the silver lining on the latest storm cloud to gather over my family in the past eighteen months. ⁣⁣⁣⁣

Writing is much more than a job for me. It’s my passion and my sanity saver. ⁣⁣I look forward to returning to publishing next year in a much healthier state with a tonne of quality new words and a completely reworked back list. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

Keep an eye on my social media, my Facebook reader group, Kylie’s Kollective, and this website for further updates.

You don’t know me, but I am a reader in the USA who is so very sorry to learn of your condition. All of your writing can wait while you battle your disease. I have read the entire MC Shamrocks series, and you are an amazing storyteller. I will eagerly await the news of your complete recovery.
